IMAREX - ASIAN CLEAN TANKER FFA REPORT 10 Mar, 2010
Wed, March 10, 2010 at 00:28 Clean Tanker FFA Summary:
TC4 (MR SG-JP 30KT) The paper market softened as traders saw the recent rally in AG & N Asia MRs pause. Apr and Q2 were each given at 140, down 4 points from Monday’s market, and Q3 was given from145 down to 143. Q4 was given several times at 149 leaving Q3 & Q4 each two points lower on the day. The close saw Mar 130 at 135 with implied balance month on 132 at 133.94. Apr left 139 at 142 and Q2 139 at 141 while Q3 eased to 140 at 145 and Q4 145 at 150 at the close.
TC5 (LR1 AG-JP 55KT) The same sort of shift occurred here as did with the MRs. Mar paper was given at 128 and Apr at 130 as fixtures slowed to a trickle. Mar was 127 at 129 after the 128 trade and Apr 128 at 130. Q3 eased to 132 at 136 and Q4 142 at 146 on a relatively quiet afternoon.

Physical market talking levels:
MR: Sing/Jpn estimate W125-130 The MAERSK KAELA comes in at $330K, some $35K lower than yesterday’s SKOR – SING report of the ROSE. This should take some of the steam out of TC11.
LR1: Ag/Jpn estimate W125-130 A late entry to the fixture list, the LEADER OOS was heard fixed at the end of last week for RSEA – JPN at W120. This equates to something just over W130 equivalent ex AG given the high flat rate. For that matter, all but the FR8 VENTURE were ticked off the position list earlier this week and simply fill in detail.
LR2: Ag/Jpn estimate W120-125 The OCEAN CROWN is late reportage of a vessel fixed last week, so unfortunately, nothing new to report here rate-wise.
